I appreciated that Johnny speaks so candidly about his experience and I know that all of you, like me, will be inspired by his story and the overwhelming need to hit the gym!
Until next week, make good choices and don't forget to Bet On You!
is something that Johnny said and has stuck with me since we talked. Johnny's is truly a Bet On You story and I chose it as our 10th episode because it exemplifies what the podcast is about. It's about the moment you decide to take a chance on yourself, you risk everything to pursue your passion and you push through the fear everyday to ensure your experience is a success.

with Erik Fernandez, Wilderness Coordinator at Oregon Wild! I had a very interesting talk with Erik who is very passionate about the work he does which I think is evident when listening to the episode. Crater Lake is one of my favorite places in the world, so I appreciate the work being done to try and keep it the special place that it is. Also, Erik and I share a love of the band Rush, so I was glad we could talk music too.
Speaking of Rush, if haven't already done so, do yourself a favor and check out the documentary Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage, good stuff there. Enjoy the episode, have a good week and don't forget to Bet On You. I hope you all really enjoyed the first part of my interview with Robert Wagner as much as I did. Just when you think there can't be too much of a good thing, we bring you part 2 of the interview. This was such a great discussion with Rob, to hear him talk about the hard work he put in to maintain a podcasting network and see his face light up when he talks about his family and dancing around with his daughter. Great talk from a really talented and genuine guy.
I gave you a homework assignment to kick this podcast off, let me know how it goes! You can hit us up on twitter @betonyoupod or send us an email by visiting betonyoupod.com If you visit our site, give some love to our previous interviewees by checking out the Bet On Them page, lots of good stuff there! Thanks again to Robert Wagner for taking the time to sit down, I really appreciate it. Hope you have a great rest of the week, and don't forget to Bet On You! When I was kicking around the idea of starting a podcast, I reached out to the best, Robert Wagner, to ask for some advice. I'm sure Rob gets lots of inquires from podcast novices like me, which I would think at a certain point gets pretty annoying. He was extremely open and gracious and shared great information to help get me started and along the way, for which I was very grateful.
I was really excited to have him on the podcast and hear his story from where he started and the journey that got him where he is today. We talked for about 2 hours and I knew that I couldn't edit much since it was all great information. So, I decided to split the interview into two parts. I had no idea what to expect when Rob sat down and very candidly shared with me, and all of you, the challenges and successes he has experienced. Many thanks to Rob for taking the time to sit down, I know you will all enjoy the episode and look forward to sharing part two next week. |
John ReidJohn started his own company in 2009, it hasn't been an easy road but it's allowed him to meet great people and pursue his passion. Along the way he's discovered other people had their own "geronimo" moment. The Bet on You Podcast has allowed him to hear more of the stories and share them with all of you. Archives
